November 28, 2014, Atlanta, Georgia – Verida was awarded a new contract with BlueCare Tennessee, a wholly-owned subsidiary of BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee, effective October 1, 2014. Under the terms of the new contract, Verida will continue to serve as the non-emergency medical transportation broker for TennCare members enrolled in BlueCare Tennessee health plans. Verida first contracted with BlueCare Tennessee in 2008. BlueCare Tennessee serves approximately 450,000 members across the State.

The new contract award was the result of a competitive procurement initiated by BlueCare Tennessee in March 2014. “We are very excited to continue our long-standing relationship with BlueCare Tennessee”, said Steve Adams, President of Verida. “It has been a great experience for our company to work with their team over the past six years and we are grateful for their vote of confidence in Verida through the new contract award.”

Verida will continue to operate a central business office and 24/7 call center in Chattanooga and a regional office in Memphis to support this contract. The company has 93 employees in Tennessee.
